Position description

The Ron Joyce Centre for Business Studies/Commerce Department at Mount Allison invites applications for a part-time stipendiary appointment to teach a course entitled COMM 3121 – Intermediate Accounting II. The following topics are discussed: shareholders' equity, dilutive securities, investments, and a series of special topics, including corporate income taxes, pension costs, leases, and accounting changes and error analysis. The course is scheduled on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 11:30 am to 12:50 pm in the Winter academic term 2027. The class size is approximately 30 students.

Although the course is scheduled in person on the Sackville (NB) campus, the possibility of delivering the course in a hybrid format (in-person and online) or synchronously online (fully online on the days/times) may be considered.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate students. A candidate with a Ph.D. or master’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred; a candidate with a CPA designation will also be considered.
